Preparation for Lifestyle Worship Celebration Focus

Preparation for Sunday Celebration: 10-21-18

Sermon Title:  “A Crisis of Belief

THE BIG IDEA: When you have a crisis of belief, don’t take matters into your own hands.

Sermon Passage: Numbers 20:1-13

Sermon Series: Experiencing God

Text to Ponder:  Palms 35:22 “O LORD, You have seen this; be not silent.  Do not be far from me, O LORD.” NIV84

Focus:  Adapted from Psalms 56 & 18:49 (NIV84)

Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack. My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You  In God, whose word I praise in God I trust I will not be afraid.

What can mortal man do to me? Record my lament; list my tears on Your scroll—are they not in Your record? [Are not my enemies turned away?]

By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise,  in the LORD, whose word I praise—in God I trust I will not be afraid.

Therefore I will praise You among the nations, O LORD; I will sing praises to Your name.

  1. Hello,
I am the new Director of Grand Valley Oncology and from time to time we have a patient that is homeless while going through treatment or is having other financial issues. I wondered if your organization already offers any services that we might refer the patient to or if you would like to meet and discuss how we can help people in these types of circumstances.
    Thank you,
    Gail

    1. Gail, thank you for contacting us. At this time we do not have any such service. We are a small church, and do not have the financial resources to help on this level. We do have a few people who may be free and willing to help with emotional and spiritual comfort. But again, this is not formal; merely when the need arises, we do what we can to meet it.
Perhaps emailing me at michaelr05@msn.com will help clarify another lingering or unasked questions.
      Michael
